Sheryl Sandberg

If you don't already know her, I doubt you live on this planet.

She is my favorite CORPORATE FEMINIST and I love the fact that she is so outspoken about women's issues. Her advice in her book Lean In has made millions think about women in the workplace.

One key advice of her that I always remember is that you don't have to feel guilty for not winning the 'mum of the year' award. Life and work is messy and it's OK to give yourself a break about it.

Steve Harrison

OK, if you don't know  Steve, probably you don't read nonfiction books. Because I doubt there are many nonfiction readers that do not know Steve.

His advice on book/ business marketing and speaking is phenomenal. I regularly read his blog posts that are filled with cutting edge programs and tips.

There are various accomplishments of Steve that I adore but what I love is how well he speaks of his wife and their love story. Men like him have a special spot in the respect section of my heart.

Marie Forleo

Marie is the perfect poster child for millennials who are not going to sit back and wait for life to happen. Being a successful entrepreneur and interviewing top guns like Richard Branson has not made her stubborn. In fact she is one of the most humble women I've seen online and she takes time to answer questions for people like you and I.

I love how she covers not just business advice but also the philosophy of running a life. If you take my advice, subscribe to her wonderful blog and keep an eye out for her regular, super cool emails.

My

Work Gurus

Life is like a high way. No matter how fast you go, there will always be people ahead of you. I truly believe in taking advice and learning as much as possible from those who have walked the path before me. But not every person has walked the same paths where I want to tread. Although there will always be something unique about our individual paths, there are some lessons that apply universally to all. These are the lessons I am always hunting to learn from people I can most relate to. Or in other words, people whose advice resonates most with me. It literally feels like being the BABY PENGUIN that learns gradually how to self survive and explore the world on its own.

Here are some of my Mama Penguins and Papa Penguins. I truly adore their advices, read their blogs and occassionally ask them about things that worry me and most of them are kind enough to take time to respond. You can visit their websites by clicking on their pictures and explore yourself why I'm so fond of them.

Ramit Sethi

Ramit is one of those guys you don't want to mess with. He wouldn't sugar coat the hard facts of human laziness and procastination. His advice is spot on and for people who are serious about doing something with their life. He is a bestselling author but his work has a lot more aspects to it. The best part of his content treasure is common sense. Unfortunately common sense is not very common which is why what Ramit says is rational and logical. He is one of those masters of Bruce Lee or Van Dam movies who seem cruel to the audience in the beginning but make a champion out of Hollywood heroes. I have not yet taken any of his paid programs but I intend to enrol for the online business one.

Simon Sinek

I came across Simon through his amazing TED Talk and got so hooked, I ended up reading his books, following his blogs and became a complete fan. Simon's take on leadership is simple and inspiring. It's not the same old leadership lessons you've been listening to all your life or from business school teachers. The best part is all his material and online content is extremely pleasing to the eyes. The visual appeal of his website draws you in to engage more because it is simple to navigate, understand and have fun with. His book Start With Why is not only about being a great leader but also inspiring others to be their best.

Seth Godin

If there is one honest marketer in the world, it is Seth!

Seth's videos, books and blogs are so engaging, I can spend hours without getting distracted. His quotes are on my business cards and his books on my bedside stand. If someone didn't know me any better, they might think I'm stalking the guy!

By the way, there is ton of free stuff and cool advice on his website. If you're an entrepreneur and need some marketing love, do not forget to visit his site.

There is a lot of information that you might feel overwhelmed but one piece at a time and you will become a lifelong fan, just as I am.
